Polonnaruwa




Polonnaruwa is a main city of North Central Province and one of the ancient cities in the island. Most of ancient ruins are located in Polonnaruwa and it brings our mind the splendid medieval period of Sri lanka. In addition, the city is the kingdom of King Parakkramabahu and anyone who travels in Polonnaruwa may see the largest water reservoirs and huge water dams built by the great King Parakkramabahu. It highlights the old technology that they used to built them. Awesome destination to all of tourists.
